Prof. Maurizio Cafagno

MAURIZIO CAFAGNO is professor of Public Law at the University of Insubria, where he teaches administrative law, procurement law and public economic law.

He is also a faculty member for a number of masters and postgraduate programs at the University of Insubria, the Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori (IUSS) of Pavia as well as the University of Milan. He teaches administrative law at the specialization school for legal professionals associated with the Milan Bar Association.

He is a member of a number of academic research institutions and has participated as a speaker in Italian and international congresses. He has also coordinated research projects, including those of an interdisciplinary nature. He is the author of a number of scientific monographs and publications and contributes to publishing companies and journals specialising in legal affairs.

Professor Cafagno regularly represents public services and utility companies in administrative and public law matters, particularly in public procurement, authorisations and public/private partnerships. He also focuses his practice on torts and State liability, power supply contracts and project financing, particularly within the transportation sector.

He graduated with full marks from the University of Milan in 1987 and has been a member of the Milan Bar Association since 1993. He was admitted argue before the Italian Supreme Court in 2003.
