MARIA LAURA DE CRISTOFARO is a counsel in the Milan office.

She practices criminal law, providing assistance to clients and companies both in-court and out-of-court. She has gained extensive experience in the fields of white collar crime, corporate criminal law and economic criminal law.

She is specialized in administrative liability pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001, unlawful dealing as well as matters relating to training and upgrading of personnel.

She provides assistance for the protection of ‘Made in Italy’ and in the field of transnational fraud both in-court and out-of-court.

She has extensive experience in defensive investigations requiring highly qualified technical consultants.

She is also member of the Council of Europa Uomo Onlus.

Maria Laura De Cristofaro graduated in Business Economics from the Bocconi University in 1991. She graduated with honors in law from the University of Milan in 1996 with a thesis in UK criminal law.  She also attended courses in International Law and UK Criminal Law at the University of Oxford and Cambridge respectively.

She was admitted to the Milan Bar in 2001, was permitted to argue before the Supreme Court and High Courts in 2015 and has been a member of Unione delle Camere Penali Italiane since 1997.
